Marine Education and Cultural Heritage Experience
The Condado Underwater Trail project combines marine conservation with cultural education, creating an accessible snorkeling experience that connects visitors with Puerto Rico's natural and cultural heritage. Located in the Condado Lagoon area, this underwater trail features educational modules and artificial reef structures that promote marine biodiversity.
The trail incorporates Taino cultural elements, celebrating Puerto Rico's indigenous heritage while providing habitat for marine life. Artificial modules serve as both educational markers and reef structures, supporting fish populations, juvenile lobsters, and coral recruits while offering interpretive experiences for snorkelers and divers.
